Kathmandu, March 23
CSRI has participated as the research partner of the 2nd International Conference on Engineering and Technology organized by Kantipur Engineer College. CSRI participated under the leadership of Founder President Mr. Chiranjibi Adhikari. The conference was conducted on 26th September 2019 at Kantipur Engineering College premises. Senior Vice President of npCert (Information Security Response Team Nepal) Pramod Parajuli and CSRI Secretary Asst. Prof. Ram Krishna Dahal had contributed as a member of the reviewer team of conference papers.
Multiple special sessions and symposiums were also executed parallelly. On the conference day, Mr. Sachin Jung Karki had presented about the need and importance of the Security Operation Center (SOC) and Mr. Suman Thapaliya shared ideas about IT Security Audit on a Special session “Cyber Security Alliance for Security Resilience” followed by a Q/A session.
The risks associated with the internet and cyber-attack are ever increasing with the increase in the services based on the internet. Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation Nepal (CSRI Nepal), a non-profitable organization, has been established dated in 2018. The main aim of CSRI Nepal is to find and to develop the proper mechanism for secure and reliable access of the internet in a safer way. It also aims to formulate ideas to minimize the use of the internet for cyber-attack, hacking, and other related risks that are associated with cybersecurity.
